Unbelievable that I call and they are unwilling to reschedule an appointment by one hour moving it up by one hour into an available slot, and want to charge me. Didn’t wan to cancel and it was almost two days away. The fickle and dubious non negotiable attitude that customer service gave me, and upon requesting a supervisor. They left me on hold for almost 10 min, with no further, follow up.
I wanted help, I needed help, and a simple hour reschedule because you knows life happens is apparently out of the question. Shows where the priority is.

The therapist I see deserves so much praise and is absolutely incredibly. I adore her and our sessions together. However, my biggest complaint is that she is through thriveworks. I don’t find thriveworks to be an easy company to use at all. They describe their cancellation policy as “flexible” and even states in the policy, “life happens”. The policy says they will charge you upwards of $130 if you try to reschedule or cancel an appointment without a 48 hour notice. I don’t understand how that is flexible or understanding to life happening. Aside from their contradicting cancellation policy, the insurance component has been a mess. When I signed up for therapy with thriveworks, they told me I’d be covered for therapy for every session through my insurance policy and said I’d pay no deductibles or co pays for my sessions. After two sessions, I had insurance deductibles on my thriveworks account. The whole reason I decided to use thriveworks is because thriveworks relayed I’d have no out of pocket surprise expenses / deductibles and that my insurance was covering everything. I only am continuing to use them to see the therapist I’ve now already become established with. So if you haven’t been established with thriveworks yet, don’t. It’s a headache rabbit hole that is probably not worth trying to climb out of if you don’t have to.

Easy to use scheduling for first time! Had a hard time making the first step, but Thriveworks made it easy and convenient. Ruth is amazing and I can flex between in person and telehealth depending on my schedule.

Just a heads up: they don’t take any Medicaid insurances and will not allow self pay. I waited on the phone for quite a while just to be turned down. Just felt pretty disappointing. Maybe this is a great option if you carry another insurance, but they don’t seem all too willing to help anyone beyond that. Hopefully this can help someone not waste their time on the phone.

It always seems embarrassing asking for help these days. But I so glad I did, narrowed my choices based on skill set. Katie has helped me so much, it’s crazy how Katie was helping me cope with one thing at first. Then it seemed like everything thing was falling apart, but Katie never judges she only helps and gives you techniques to cope with the situation. If I could, I would give a 10/10.

keep getting a bill for an appointment i never attended. i have emailed multiple times and received no response but instead links to pay the balance. tried to call the office, nobody answered. i really didn’t want to leave a review but it seems like this is the only option i have at this point.
