Will never go there again. They put the wrong address and name on my dot medical card. I had to go somewhere else to have another physical done and resubmit my card to the dmv. Worst service I ever experienced from them

I am from out of state and had a minor medical emergency as soon as I arrived in Holden Beach. After many searches and finding the Medac near Oak Island/South Port to not properly display day's they would not be open (Father's Day), my dad and I then drove to Wilmington. I have never had such wonderful care. The services at the front desk were superb the girl working handled a huge rush with ease. The nurse was the friendliest and sweetest nurse I've ever met. She explained all instructions with ease for the me the patient to understand. The doctor was absolutely the best PCP I've ever met. She went over my symptoms checked me out thoroughly. Told me to call if I had any issues and even set me up with post care prescriptions. To top off a wonderful visit they called the next day to check on me and see if I was doing okay. My PCP in VA doesn't even take time for this time of quality care. Best urgent care I've ever been to and if anyone were to ever have an issue in Wilmington, and any surrounding areas, I HIGHLY recommend this urgent care above all others. -Holly

The lady at the front desk was very rude to me. She treated me like I was a child. She treated every caucasian person that she spoke to with the utmost respect. She was not loud with them and she treated them with respect, her voice towards me versus her caucasian peers was very disrespectful and disappointing. She did end up adjusting her attitude when she saw how kind and gentle I spoke. I no longer go to this doctor office but I have never seen this happen before.... they are alway so nice and loving. Maybe she had a bad day towards me and no one else. It totally hurt my feelings because I am always so kind to everyone. Always be kind to people because you may be the only person that has ever been kind to that person. My experience was not joyous at all.

My whole experience was amazing from start to finish. My doctor Chris Donivan was so understanding and really listened to my needs and concerns. I will never go anywhere else. This place is top notch from the staff to the care, to the clean and starilized building. I cant wait for my next follow up! I truly thank the crew at Shipyard Medical Center!

Chris I'd the best medical provider in town. He definitely tried to heal you holistically before giving you multiple medications.
He is also friendly, always has time to talk with me and offers sound advice.

We moved here two years ago. Stopped by one day for a sick visit, and have not stopped going since! Chris Donovin, and the staff are great. Our 5, and 9 year old daughters hate it when they are sick, but love to visit Shipyard Medical Center. They always go over and beyond and make our visit quick and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Wish I could give more stars every once in a while. This was my first visit and I was a walk in. Front desk was very nice, and despite being busy, were quick. Dr Donavin was so helpful and friendly, rarely do you get a doctor that actually sits and talks and explains things to you. So happy this is where I went.

Just went for my first visit and had a great experience! The staff is very friendly and Dr. Donovin is fantastic! He explained everything to me and even showed me pictures of what was going on with my ears. I'm definitely keeping him as my primary doctor! I would recommend this place to anyone!
