I never leave a complaint on sites but this one is worth reading. I had a surgery done back in 4/30/2024. I fell and broke my nose. The ENT that was highly referred to me moved from to this facility in Clayton Ga which is 2 1/2 hours away. Doctor Jackson recommended surgery and had to be done quick since I couldn’t breath. This medical center would not approve the nose surgery unless I pay in full. I had to charge it on my credit card since ai did not have $16000. Cigna, my insurance told me that it will take 30 days to approve the claim after receiving it . I literally called Angie at the medical center’s billing more than 8 times. I either had to leave messages with no call back or when I actually reached her, She stated that she sent the info Cigna needed and Cigna denied receiving any information from her . I had to literally do a three way call months later with Christy the CEO and Cigna just to find out what was wrong. Everything suppose to be taking care of. Christy said that she sent the documents and Cigna confirmed it. I called my insurance company several times afterwards and they said they need more info. Cigna sent it to preauthorization department since this medical center did not want to accept Cigna. I had to leave messages for Christy over and over again . The facility is 2 1/2 hours from my house. I had to literally go three times. It is absurd! I just found out that they billed Cigna 60k for a 2 hours out patient's nose surgery. My doctor only got less than 5k for his services. They are ripping people off. They are also a very unorganized facility. I had a really bad experience with the staff. I live in Atlanta. The only reason I went to Clayton Ga is because of Doctor Jackson (ENT). Still today the claim was not paid. I have to seek an attorney now.

My mother had a serious fall resulting in a serious wound and bleeding. Troy Sloan, DON, quickly assessed the situation and had her in an examination room within minutes. Dr. Vrabec placed internal and external stitches and ordered tetnas and antibiotics. These two providers provided quality, compassionate care. We will continue supporting Mountain Lakes Medical Center such a great addition to our community.

I had a procedure at Mountain Lakes in September and had a great experience from start to finish. The receptionist, ALL the nurses, anesthesiologist, and doctor were very caring, with an attention to detail and very professional. I would highly recommend this facility.

My daughter recently had a tonsillectomy performed by Dr. Keith Jackson at Mountain Lakes Medical Center outpatient surgery center. We had traveled over 2 hours each way from Marietta GA to Clayton GA to have Dr. Jackson perform this procedure. We had no prior experience with Mountain Lakes Medical Center. We were very pleased with the care my daughter received by Dr. Jackson and his surgical team. The surgery center was outstanding. Each member of the team took time to talk to my daughter before the surgery and during recovery to make sure she was comfortable and connect with her personally. They also took extra care to ensure my daughter’s comfort during her 2 hour ride home after surgery. Billing and payment processing was fair and facilitated. I highly recommend this surgery center!

I was seen in the ER by Dr Dukes for a near amputated finger. I have to say for a small ER, I give them a 10/10. They took me back immediately and started treatment to save my finger. They contemplated airlifting me to a trauma center. My finger was hanging on by a tiny piece ok skin but once it was it was replaced to it’s original position, they were able to stitch it back on. But, they were swift, kind and very compassionate. Dr Dukes is literally the sweetest, down to earth doctor. Excellent bedside manner. While my injury was very traumatic, they dealt with it like a level 1 trauma center. Don’t underestimate the little country hospital. I got better care from them than a visit last year to northeast ga medical center. Thank you Dr Dukes and staff for your exemplary care, kindness and compassion. I will always remember the most excellent care I received. Thank you,
Susan schroeder

We just moved to Clayton from TN. We are so blessed to find Dr. Spivey, in Pain Mgt. Had to have special injections for several back issues. Dr. Spivey and his team are the best! Jennifer, Becca, Amber, Derrick, and Christie (spelling may be off). Everyone is pleasant, patient, knowledgeable, good sense of humor, quick to explain my issues and the procedures required to alleviate the pain. They are rated 10 plus on my chart!

I have PP-MS, CIAP and DHS. Central and peripheral neurological disorders. In constant, substantial pain. It is progressive and there is no cure. I depend on neurologist and pain physicians to help me deal with the symptoms. My care was not improving and these specialist are few in rural areas. My General recommended Dr. Spivey for pain. He was extraordinarily thorough in his exam, listened to me, and explained options carefully. He is skilled, and patient centered! Surprise, has the hospital psychologist checking on me weekly. The long drive is well worth it. Highly recommended.
