A.P. Toledo…Alvaro, in my opinion is the “best of the best.” First of all, Alvaro always takes the time to sit with the patient to discuss issues and concerns; providing excellent feedback so that the patient understands acupuncture-dry needling procedures. This in itself alleviates one’s anxiety or apprehension and allows the patient to speak freely in describing their issues and/or pain. Alvaro is extremely professional and his knowledge of body systems is soon apparent in the administration of procedures; always providing feedback in a caring and friendly manner. This helps the patient in describing any pain locations. I have complete trust in Alvaro and am very fortunate to have found such a knowledgeable physician who is so caring. Another factor is the modern facility and relaxing environment. Making appointments is also a seamless and quick process. All this adds up to a great experience. As a side note, and even though my pain is in a concentrated area, I have noticed that I sleep much better. Having dealt with chronic pain for many years has allowed me to fully understand the science of cellular benefits of acupuncture-dry needling procedures. Having a professional such as Alvaro, who has such knowledge, has helped me on this journey; each session allowing me to become more active and pain free. I highly recommend Alvaro Toledo for acupuncture. I went to him with weekly headaches that would last several days. I was seeking an alternative to the pills from my doctor that would make me feel dizzy. I can say, the headaches have been greatly reduced since my treatment. Wow!! Dr Alvaro and Gainesville Acupuncture & Holistic Medicine has changed my life. I have always been skeptical of Acupuncture because of previous experiences and failed attempts but when I had a life altering herniated disc in my neck I was desperate to try anything. Upon recommendation I went to see Dr Alvaro as a last attempt before surgery and WOW am I glad I did!! He used multiple techniques and was able to provide immediate relief and over a few treatments I am back to full function and competition!
